Seeing how the engine is meant for space combat first and foremost, you should probably make a spaceborne variant that is meant for use in space rather then land.  We have lots of fighters already, but a distinct lack of space tanks.

No you sillies. Have it transform into a Mecha, then it can do anything! 

With that aside, ground vehicles in space wouldn't be useful, but maybe as a lame action flick joke by having a tank strapped in for transport, but have it so that the turrets and weapons can be moved/fired.

Alternatively could have a less-lame surface crawler of sorts. Would be interesting to see a base defense tank that has small thrusters to move it from docking pad to docking pad. Heads will roll The engine as it stands doesn't appear to be suitable for this type of system, however.

Those armor panels look like they could be ablative or reactive armor systems. I like it.

Yep, first thing I thought of was reactive armor. But, as we all know, there are only two types of ground vehicles:

A-10 targets, and A-10 targets.

Oh wait, that's one. 

Edit: totally forgot - that's a pretty sweet looking tank. It's like an Abrams with a TUSK and a ZSU had a particularly mean-looking child.

I've always liked the idea of tank-like crawlers with magnetic tracks or whatnot that can go on the outside of a (properly big) spaceship and act like reserve point-defence weapons if the ship's turrets are knocked out.
