Yeah, this one had a bunch of hiccups in development, at first they wanted to make it for Source Engine like they did for NS1 on the Half-Life1 Engine, but Source didn't have all of the features they needed, so they ended up saying "We're gonna give up on source and build our own engine from scratch!"

My reaction was, "welp, this'll be vaporware..."

I'm so glad I was wrong.

I remember articles from when NS1 was under development they had a ***** of a time coding the strategic segments of the game because the H-L engine just would not play ball
