Does anyone know or has anyone encountered the limits of various things in FS2? Things like the max number of times that a SEXP event may be repeated, or the max number of debriefing stages (20), etc.

Also, what's with the depature point for Alpha wing? I designated a Hatshepsut's docking bay as the departure point, and I was able to fly right through the GVD as if it wasn't there! My weapons still impacted on the hull, though. Is this a bug?

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

I've never flown right through before, I tend to collide with the fighterbay, but I don't think that you can set a departure point for Alpha wing. I think the game is hardcoded to end the mission either by Alt-J or Red Alert. I have yet to find a trigger that would jump you out when you reach the fighter bay, and I don't think it exists. However, your wingman, on the other hand, may be able to use the fighterbay as an exit point. Try setting the departure to the f-bay, and then order your wingmen to depart. See if they go for the figherbay. You'll still have to Alt-J out.

Now, another thing you might try to simulate the effect would be to disable Alpha 1's jump drives until he is within a certain predefined range of the fighterbay (test out different ranges until you find the one that is timed to jump out right at the bay), and ALSO set it to only enable the drive when the fighterbay is in the direct viewcone of Alpha 1. That way, the only way they can jump out is straight into the bay, and no where else in the mission. You'll still have the warp ani, but it's closer to what you want to achieve than before. Let me know if any of this works.

It works, that's what we're doing for the robotech campaign.

The departure point thingy isn't a problem I'm having, just something that I noticed that I wanted to find out more about. The circumstances are that Alpha wing has it's departure point set for the docking bay of a Hatshepsut.
