It's been a while since I've responded to this, holidays have been crazy. wanted to say thanks for the input all. Its really appreciated. On the matter of overclocking, I don't see the point in this situation. my parents don't really need it, and I wont be here if anything goes wrong, so the simpler the better. and yeah new egg was where I was looking in the first place.

- i7 Bloomfield 930 @ 2.8ghz
- 6GB Corsair (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800
- 3x 64GB SSDs in Raid 0 (one big volume)
- 1TB 7200rpm SATA drive (backups, documents, etc)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 1GB

New computer:
- Gigabyte Intel Z77 Motherboard
- i7 3770K 3.5hz w/ Noctua NH-C14 cooler
- 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-12800
- Corsair HX850 power supply
- 2x Samsung 840 250GB SSDs in Raid 0 stripe
- EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked 2GB
