I made a new ship and got it all working in the game, so I made a test mission to see how it fly's etc. I just plopped down a wing of my ships as the only thing in the mission. Everything is great except that at lower speeds the other ships in my wing seem to want to fly into my ship constantly. I am assuming this must have something to do with paths so my questions would be:
1) Is this a path issue?
2) Is there a specific path that other ships in a wing use to form around the leader? ie: engine subsystem path or one of the others.
And one other unrelated question:
In my FRED designed missions I never get the onscreen text messages associated with collisions, missiles being locked on me, and evasion messages when a countermeasure is used successfully. Is this an option within FRED that I have overlooked or is there some other issue going on?
