Indeed, another risk of setting up 'backdoor' access to these systems is the fact that it is a natural situation for the Hacking community to be ahead of the anti-hacking one, most anti-hacking measures are reactions, not preactions.

The risk is, especially now that the existence of such systems are known, that there will be those actively seeking to hijack them.

Whilst I don't 'neccessarily' have a concern that the Government would be able to abuse this system it would probably be a good idea, now that the cat is out of the bag, to close off those access points and find another means to monitor this data as quickly as possible.
