No, it hasn't. It's been pointlessly vitriolic, like everything on the internet, but Valve are completely to blame for the underlying tensions. You see, the BP team are working for free and are reasonably open about progress on their development; unlike Valve, who make games for a profit (don't bring up F2P like it's some charitable endeavour; they're making more money than if they charged you for the game itself), and like to maintain total public silence while they play at being rockstar auteurs with all the mod teams they employ. I haven't much sympathy.
