i did not find this very scary

it's just a typical "BUT SUDDENLY I/THEY WERE IN A SLASHER MOVIE" thing

gore is not very scary

perhaps alarming, but not scary

Aww, that was it? It started so well, all atmospheric and creepy, then it finished. "Oh yeah it was just a ghost, but it was creepy wasn't it?" Creepy, maybe. Scary, not quite. Interesting, not at all. Well maybe if I hadn't read it after standing in the sun for 9 hrs, I hadn't got interrupted near the end, I came across it at random without it being talked up and I was 6 yrs younger it might've been good but as it was, meh.
