Tachyon: The Fringe needs new players!!
Hello guys,
tachyon is a space combat sim from 2000 and, even if unsupported, has had a nice multiplayer community going. Yet in the past years there has been a steady drop of players, so now theres only a few active  :(. Anyone interested in joining us? The game itself is very similar to Freespace, with a much better multiplayer, and can be bought online for a very reasonable price. The community also has an ongoing FSO project, Fringespace, which you can check over here http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=195.0 or here http://www.fringespace.org/
Hope to see some new players soon ;)

I remember Tachyon: The Fringe. Marvelous fun, especially the whole Sistine Chapel affair in all its hammy glory. The project looks promising, I'll give it a look when I have time to spare.

Suppose I should thank our benefactor here for the news post.

We do need additional players, while we have a regular game at 2 PM EST Sundays, we are open to making another game or moving
the time to get more folks in.

Does still work up through Windows 8.

....and I can still wipe out a room of pilots with these rusty finger joints, so bring it on.

Re: Tachyon: The Fringe needs new players!!
My work schedule is irrational and irregular... although for the past couple of weeks it has seemed that they have been scheduling me during the usual Sunday match.  :(

AFAIK, the FringeSpace server is up most of the time, so it's just an issue of figuring out when to get people together to play a match.
