Madness?  Madness does not begin to describe that this is.  I watched for a couple hours yesterday, and by far the greatest surprise of the entire ordeal is that they managed to get four badges in five days using the Shakespeare effect (a million monkeys, and what have you).

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
Right now they seem to be indefinitely stuck in a certain room with a bunch of motion pads on the floor (no idea where, I haven't seen Red/Blue for ages).  It doesn't look very hopeful that they'll move anywhere fast. :p Catchy music though.

I had a look, I think a bunch of people are there to troll, because Ash was facing left into a wall, and left kept winning the vote.

I LOVED the motion pads in Red/Blue/Yellow, I thought they were the best.. (it did wear off though)

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
Well, it's been a long and VERY strange journey, but Red is now (repeatedly) trying his luck against the Elite Four.  Even if you weren't following along with this, I feel certain that you've borne witness to the absolute explosion of memes that came out of it.  As for myself, I haven't watched much, and I'll probably wind up missing the end of it all, but I was there when ATV became the Dragon Slayer.  And I feel good about that.

Wow it's like mom told me to share the game, under penalty of death, with my friends and brothers and we're still screaming at each other.

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
I only started watching it sporadically today, and about half an hour ago they were at Blue's last Pokémon (Blastoise) and I had to go away to dinner. I came back now and was faced with "THE END". Looks like they managed to do it! :D

Spoiler:
...it's a shame I missed them actually winning, but it was awesome to watch most of their final attempt and to see them cut through Bruno's, Agatha's, Lance's and almost all of Blue's team without too much trouble. Especially after seeing some of the more laughable attempts earlier. Yeah the level 81 Zapdos did most of that work easily, but it was watching them make it do the work that was great.

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
When I first saw this, I admit I thought it was kinda dumb. But the fact that they actually managed to beat the damn game is pretty impressive.
[16:57] <CommanderDJ> What prompted the decision to split WiH into acts?
[16:58] <battuta> it was long, we wanted to release something
[16:58] <battuta> it felt good to have a target to hit
[17:00] <RangerKarl> not sure if talking about strike mission, or jerking off
[17:00] <CommanderDJ> WUT
[17:00] <CommanderDJ> hahahahaha
[17:00] <battuta> hahahaha
[17:00] <RangerKarl> same thing really, if you think about it

This anarchy mode is very amusing, but slightly painful to watch after 10 minutes.

E: I'll rephrase that actually, with this music and Anarchy Mode. It's the biggest troll game I've ever seen. Hilarious!

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
I don't think I'll be nearly as interested in this run, to be honest.  I don't know most of the Pokemon that were added in Gen 2, and I've only played a very small part of Gold.  Both the show and the games were always Kanto for me.

...and yet I'm already paging through Reddit updates.  Dammit.

Re: We're All Trainers (Twitch Plays Pokemon)
I must admit I enjoy watching Anarchy mode a ton more with all the sudden movements and changes, making me think what must be going through the character's mind, being the most indecisive person ever playing his SNES for hours at a time for instance;  in Democracy mode it really takes ages to move around and is generally a lot less fun, even if everyone were to agree, it takes 30 seconds for every move.

I wonder if that's commentary or not..
I'm all about getting the most out of games, so whenever I discover something very strange or push the limits, I upload them here:

*Insert BP Reference Here*

I honestly think this thing ran its course once it finished the first game. Feels pointless to continue it... But then, maybe that is the point.
