Freespace - New online space simulator ???

Hello.
I started playing Star Trek Online, and there is a very good boat handling provide genuine and that the whole system.
Wondered whether the Freespace could also behave like complete new game with a focus on online as is currently Star Trek Online.
Play for Aeolus Class or Hecate class ships would be great.
Try to copy the system just like Star Trek Online and reports under this Freespace.
Yes it is just an idea.

FreeSpace is not suited for MMO-style gameplay. The engine isn't built to support it; In order to get a FS MMO, you would basically have to start from the ground up.

That said, it is definitely possible to make missions that give you command over a capital ship.

I am not suited to MMO-style gameplay either as it makes me barf quickly and violently.

From my purely subjective position I would extrapolate that at least some avid Freespaceplayers - or any person valuing high quality entertainment - may have similar issues.
