I really need some help
I had this problem When I was useing DSL . But when I got roadrunner everything was fine. I was able to log on to PXO.

I went to start up my dads drive. Which by the way is the only drive that has internet access. After I had re formatted my drive, It lost the keys it needed to use the Roadrunner device. My dads drive has so much crap that it takes 4 to 5 minutes to load.

I had freespace on my dads drive for a while now. When I went to start my das drive up a little while agoe. It had froze. It didn't respond when I went to play HW Cataclysm. And it just froze. So I rebooted. It had to do a bunch of junk like it ususally does when it isn't properly shut down.

When windows was running again. I went into HW cataclysm and it wouldnt let me log onto WON. FOR multiplayer. It said there was no CD key,
so I quit and tried to restart the game. I didn't use the quicklaunch this time. I put the CD in and It said od play it said install. Which it should have just said play.

So I went to play Freespace. I set it to multiplayer and it said

I must define my connection speed. Go to network launcher and choose your speed.

I have roadrunner. Which would fall under

 Dual channel ISDN Cable Modems.

Then I ran into a nouther problem befor this one.
It said, Well I can't remember that part.

I need help. I am fu!#@#n pissed. It was fine yesterday. But after I had to press the reset botton because the comp froze I lost something and I don't know what it is.

HWC needs a noCD. And it sounds like you've got my computer. Just live with much of it- things don't work often.

That, or mention what the second message was.

Looks like it lost registry settings for installed games and whatnot?

To fix the FS2 thing you just use the FS2 launcher and setup and you can set network speed in there.

HW:C never liked me(won't start b/c of CD-Rom drive), so i can't help you there.

The CD Key is Sierra's doing.  All of the games they publish (most of them anyway) are required to have CD keys.

Although it is possible to get around these CD Keys with non-legitament cracks to use on your computer, without a CD key you are unable to log onto WON to play multiplayer there.

If Cataclysm still refuses to be nice I suggest that you uninstall it (back up you saved games if you want them) and delete the cataclysm folder, then reinstall the game from fresh.

This may solve the problem of HWC.

For Freespace 2, you must set up your connection speed from the options menu that loads before the actual game starts.

I had the same whit HWC..I installed it on my D:\ drive and i formated my C:\ drive, that means that it can't find the CDkey it needs to logon to WON. So you must reinstall HWC to be able to play it online again.

NO. I have gone to the set up options several times. If ou read my first post, then you would see that I have it on the right settings.

I know What I have to do for HW:C. that isn't a problem.

I'll reinstall Freespace 2 and see what happens.
