Every time I go to run the game I receive the pop up message "Unrecognized command line parameter -2d_proof, continue?"  I always say yes but upon playing the game in multiplayer for any amount of time the game promptly crashes.  I have not managed to stay inside a game for more than a few seconds so far, and every time I attempt to modify my ship load out it will crash in multiplayer.  Please if anyone knows anything about this please feel free to help me out.  Thank you for your time and this amazing service!

That should be -2d_poof  instead of -2d_proof   IIRC... sounds like either you had entered that in manually at one point or there was a typo in one of the launcher configs. 

Actually, not sure if even 2d_poof is used at this time.

Do you have any custom flags set?
