hi all
Sorry if this has been covered already - couldn't find anything on the subject.
I've been using the FreeSpace Open Installer v2.1.10.
Aside from some downloading difficulties (with my connection dropping out, so nothing to do with the installer), it seems to have worked fine. I've basically installed pretty much everything (I've now got a 24.6GB folder

)
I was wondering though - does the installer verify whether there is a newer version of an item that you've already installed i.e. something akin to "check for updates"?
I can't see an option but perhaps it does this automatically?
If not, how do I trigger it?
I only have "basic", "complete" and "custom" installations as options + "re-run installation for mods that are already installed & up to date" (under custom). This last option implies that there is some kind of "up-to-date" check but I just wanted to confirm what the installer will do.
Many thanks,
Gary
