Interestingly enough the place where they get complimented on the accuracy of their shooting. Of course, on the Death Star they were supposed to be inaccurate. Doesn't explain what happened in the other two films though.

Probably the same thing as real life combat armor: protect against fragmentation and blast, but not direct hits with anti-infantry weapons.

There's a distinct lack of Luke Skywalker in that poster. Not even a mini headshot like Han/Leia.
