Hello everyone!

I am playing trough blue planet complete and I love it so far! I have fully played blue planet 1 and war in heaven 1 campaigns, and now want to start on the final campaign, war in heaven part 2. Unfortunately I have run into a snag.

I am running the recommended/required fs2_open_3_7_3_SSE2_20151121_71cf169.exe build, have installed (manually) all the files and optional files listed in the blue planet complete release thread into a subfolder of my main freespace2 directory called "bpcomplete" as instructed, and campaigns 1 and 2 ran without any problems. But now whenever I try to start the first mission of the third campaign/war in heaven part 2, the game crashes to the desktop. I have already tried making a new pilot, this does not change anything.

I am playing on windows 7 x64 on a pc with a core i7-2700k, geforce gtx660 2 gb GPU, 16 GB DDR3 RAM of a 1 tb hdd with keyboard plus xbox 360 controller. I also have a dedicated sonar (cheap XD) sound card if that is relevant.

Does anyone know how I can get the last campaign to run? I am quite looking forward to playing it with the new voice acting and all, so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. ^^

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Even stranger...  I tried one last thing: restart campaign in the tech room... and now it just started so it will probably work!

I don't know why it kept crashing every time untill I did that tough - do you still want the file? :)

Right, it must've been from the pilot code changes a while back, it had some save file for the campaign that wasn't attached to your pilot for some reason and tried to load files that didn't exist or were moved in the new release.
That's my guess at least.

But, I only ever used this pilot for blue planet complete, and making a new pilot did not help.

Oh well I have now had the whole introduction and am about to start the first real mission, everything working perfectly so far. Thanks for the replies people!
