I agree- what it needs is a bit more vertical feature. Not spikes, I don't think- keep it Vasudan.   I'd try a large hump or a thick fin on the top, or maybe two symmetric on the X-axis.

Another great model though... excellent work.

it looks great as it is, it just needs something in the back and maybe make the fighterbay a bit more rounded.

yup
and flip the maps on one of the sides   that's easy and will make the ship look better in on click (well, if TS allows you to make this in one click of course...)

The back end is a little too small (thin), I agree.  Plump the engines a bit, perhaps?  I really like the overall layout of the ship, otherwise.  It's like a hammerhead shark, really.  Fits the Vasudan ship design nicely.

I really like the use of the Volition textures.  Maybe a little editing to smooth out the color scheme would help (that green Terran texture on the sides could get a little more brownish/purpler to fit with the rest of it).  Flipping one side's texture map would definitely help (great suggestion there, venom).  I'd also increase the density on the texture map as well.  The scales look a little, well, big for a capital ship.

ok, I'm not sure about this, but hell, that's just an idea so: maybe I would colorize the maps of the engines and the fighter bay to make them green'ish? I would try to have the same feeling than we have in the psamtik mainhall.

I think that you should drop the Hecate textures, and pout some Typhon ones there then it would look good to me.

Aldo, that ship looks great   Very Vasudanish   although you could make it more twisted horizontaly like the Hatshepsut, and like all the other people said, add something vertical...

Love it!
Yeah, I know you were waiting for a very nice sig, in which I was quoting some very famous scientist or philosopher... guess what?!? I wont indulge you...

Why, you ask? What, do I look like a Shivan to you?!?

Some of the textures I do not believe look as good as they could.

Namely the side Hecate textures could use a slight amount of more tiling to avoid stretching, and their RGB colors tinted to match the hull better.

The fighterbay textures being white and over-tiled look rather poor. Look at Dark's textures on the PVI Karnak as well as the Typhon for the regions around the fighterbays.

Line the sides with a glowing blue light strip (or green to better match the rest of the ship) and the main "floor" should have a look similar to the Orion's deck.

Also, the region on the top infront of the engines would look better with the black Vasudan textures. (i.e. the wire-like look)

The engines themselves should be greyscaled and made so that the edges better match the inner textures.

On the shape? I'd slant the ship like the following, but with less of an angle:
______
xxxxxx\___ (note: ignore the 'x's)

The back section should have some sort of bridge tower, though more of a "lump" with a window strip like on the Aten.

Well, the prob is that I can't change the model significantly, as the poly count would be too highg to convert - I can try to move the rear down, and see what it looks like, though.

I'll se what I can do to improve the texturing, possibly make some new maps for it.  At the mo I'm concentrating on another model, so I'll prob. leave this model for a wee bit.

Well I think it looks just fine. Rather than ditching this design completely, maybe copy it, alter around as suggested (I don't think you should make it too much like a Hatshepsut, though - loses its originality), and then possibly release it as a Mk2 to this ship. I just don't think that this model deserves to be thrown out the door.

Well, I'm not dumping it as such - I actually love this model (like the fighterbay). I'm just switching back to finishing the the Terran ships (Gargana bomber, Warlock, etc).
