Haven't released a render for awhile...



Lightwave decided to crash on me while rendering a 'better' version of this(better lightning, an aeolus shooting a beam at the basalisk... the works), so I decided to give up on this render, didn't want to re-do everything... So this is my last save, here ya go. Enjoy :)

not to me, in fact, I think it looks a lot more realistic and better looking than the generic texture crap... makes it look higher-poly


and the reason the hecate is all red like that isn't b/c of spec(in fact, spec isn't even on for the hecate), its b/c I made the light like that... (actually, I fixed that part before it crashed)  

But thats how it looks in FS2 no?

I think the shivan ships should have bump mapping allright, maybe a bit irregular type.

I think the Bmapping is abit to high.

But otherwise it looks nice.

The engine exhausts on the Rakshasa shouldn't be glowing (either from having active engines or from damage)?

Otherwise, the pic just looks a bit sharp. Cool work. :)

The engines aren't on, that 'glowing' is actually lighting from the beam hitting the Hecate... I should have excluded that light on the rakshasa before I rendered, guess I forgot.

That really dosn't look like a Rak...

Anyways, other then the Manticore's lasers, it looks great. The lasers look like chopped up beams.
