For every ship I add into FS2, I can not get its shield ani to work.  I put it in the Huds directory, and it never shows up in game.  Can any one tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Have you added in the new shield icon entry into the actual ship entry as well?

Are you sure the shield.ani correct?

Other that that the hud table can handle only 40 shield ani`s, i`m not sure.. You may be able to use the generic shield ani though, i`m not sure at the moment where to get that though, hope this helps you
Unless you have DTP`s enhanments of 80 shield anis,  then i`m really stumped

Are we talking about anis that you have made or ones made by others?

Ones made by others.  Most recently the GTF Angel interceptor  and the FS1 conversion of the Valkyrie

Let's see..
-Shield ani in the data\HUD directory
-Shield ani referenced in the ship's table entry
-Shield ani listed in one of the first 40 entries in the hud.tbl

I thought that was common knowledge, that's why I didn't state it when I was trying to help earlier. My apologies.
