gawd, I just played the demo and kinda hated it.
I really didn't like the feel of the characters/environment/weapons...

First of all, they TOOK OUT DOUBLE ENFORCERS!!! *me cries* and the weapons it featured were all too drab or Q3 like.
Then, the character models look short and fat :p and there weren't any GIRL MODELS :mad: (:p)

Man....I love the thing.  Its great fun...the music, sound, and visuals are all pretty good...although I'm sure I'm missing the real goods by not having a GeForce 3 or higher (I've got a GTS 32mb).

Sure its rehash...but if it weren't, you'd all be complaining that it wasn't Unreal Tournament anymore.  Can't win with the critics I guess.

I suppose there wasn't a whole lot they could change though... ( "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" :D)

I have a non-XP Athlon 1400 and an overclocked GF3, so that is not really the best thing today, but as I said before it runs very well with max details.

please note that it's a demo, and that the full version will include other species that will handle differently and have other weapons. other than that, haven't tried it, so I have no opinion.

Erm... if anyone's interested, I've just played the demo and to be honest, I fail to see the point. Prolly I'll be playing Facing Worlds and Oblivion tomorrow, same as always...

I am sort of a Coret and Lament guy myself. :D

BTW this UT2003 will have a domination mode, right? That and CTF were (and are) my favorite game types in the first game.

CTF Instagib is my favorite... and I kick ass at anything thats instant-transmition shots... its just that with a lot of people, there really is no strategy... its all carnage. And I don't like that. Its fine with maybe 3v3 or 4v4, but 8v8 just doesn't go with me.

I always avoid instagib like the plague when playing online since it's too lag dependent in my opinion. Basically anyone who has the better ping will win. It it is quite fun offline or on LANs though.
