I'm taking it right now I should have guessed it was portugese because the little carrot over the O is not used in spanish.  anyways I just did more spanish homework than I would ever like to do (350 spanish words and 350 english definitions crammed onto one side of looseleaf... now thats an accomplishment!

Haven't read the whole thread, but from the first post I can tell you it's Portuguese, not Spanish. I recieved that exact same email about ten times during the past few months, never tried to open the file. It's probably (almost certainly) some kind of virus.
