Time to put away StarCraft/C&C.. :p
For all strategy game fans (notice the stress on 'strategy') I'm going to be advertising a new strategy game being developed by an independent game company in singapore, Teridian Shadow

The game features very strategical gameplay where every unit is valuable and things like unit visibility enable you to do things like ambush a convoy from behind a large hill!

The game also has spying, remote-control and piloted units, maneuver saving (ability to save certain sets of maneuvers for squads), and the developers are doing their best to create an involving plot to go with the game.

IMHO, it has potential to be a great strategy game.

BTW: look on the forums, that's where a lot of important content is.

Sounds interesting, but the screens suck, low-polys everywhere.

Must not engage in pendantic nitpicking over strategic vs. tactical planning/gameplay...

Not very impressive. They've been beaten out by about seven years in all of their "features", except 3D RTS, which has been done better elsewhere. I've seen this before.

Oh, well I just thought it'd be better than things like Command and Conquer and Starcraft that everybody is all over....

AH well, back to Earth 2150 :p (must get TA!)

Mmm, yees, TA... I don't think they even sell that at Chips and Bits anymore! Too bad, really, since it's the only game I really want to play more anymore...

Starcraft should have died 3 years ago.

How dare you, sirrah! I'll give you a cauliflower ear! Pistols at dawn! Alley oop! And so on.

I was playing starcraft this very afternoon, and I never tire of it, the same holds for C&C, although I need to but RA, but it is impossible.

I really need to try Starcraft, never played it. TA is (in my opinion) the best game of its type at the moment (still). Although Homeworld has some neat effects and what have you...

Eh. E2150 still holds the cup, as far as I've seen. Which makes sense, as most games since have only had 3D for the sake of looking 3D, and haven't really made use of its strat capabilities as much...

But yeah. Starcraft is the strat equivalent of letter blocks- fine as an introduction to the genre, low learning curve and not too challenging, nothing realy wrong with it, but after a time you kinda outgrow it.;)

C&C is the gaming equivalent of a slow enema, in case you were curious.

The original C&C perhaps, but Red Alert? This was the first RTS I ever played, and practically made me who I am. (Socialist, and fan of the USSR)

Lol, don't ever let the US media hear you say that a game shaped who you are ;)

I enjoyed C&C, but Red Alert was by far the best I've played.

Bullay for Red Alert!

Say Thunder, ever been here? It's the best RA site I've ever seen.

All right, this depresses me altogether. Just when I was only halfway down on the remaining socialists in the US, now I hear the motivation for it...

The one good thing about RA was the giant communist death squid. That ruled. Everything else... well, weak ripoffs of Dune only go so far. It's the equivalent of if the most popular FPS in modern times was a Doom clone.

That's Red Alert 2, not Red Alert. The first Red Alert is infinitley superior!

And BTW, I live in England, not the US, and am spreadin Socialism throughout my local area.
