After numerous failed attempts, I have managed to come up with a vasudan-looking ship.  Now I'm looking for comments...




EDIT: I should probably credit untouchable for his Hybrid Destroyer; this ship is definately inspired by it.  Not too closely, of course, but inspired nonetheless.

And if the pics are down, try checking back in an hour or so.

Definitely Hatshepsut inspired! It also looks like it borrows from the Typhon. Very good. StratComm, you kick ass.

Very Nice! Maybe not the best ever made (I liked that one with the big Vertical fin a bit more) But still very, very :yes:...

And are there any new mods and/or modders that Su Teph doesn't want? I mean yeah, technological advancement is all good and well, but you're going to be replacing every ship in the fleet - it'll be another "look at this pretty ship" campaign if you're not amazingly careful...

Don't worry, we're not replacing every ship in the fleet. I believe we're keeping the GTD Hecate... ;) :D

Don't worry, BW. Only about a third of the Terran ships have been replaced (mostly fighters) and only a couple of new Terran and Vasudan capships and Vasudan fighters have been added. It's new Shivan mods that we'll need soon enough...

But Strat's new Vasudan destroyer does round out the final Vasudan capship I was looking for. (Well, second-to-last, really. :) )

Looks good StratComm. :yes:

The two front prongs seem to need a bit more variety in their texturing.  They seem just a vast expanse of a single texture right now.  Maybe replace the texture used on the top and bottom sides with the other (more purplely) tile texture from the middle of the three back fins..  This would also help with the texture seam between the sides of the front prongs and their top and bottom which is fairly noticable at this point and probably very hard to fix (beleive me, I understand:)).

You could maybe also use that texture on the upper back between the parts using the grey tile, again just for some more variety and so the purplely texture doesn't seem like the odd one out.

Overall, great stuff.  The Scroll of Atankarzim wants it. :D
