For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. Across the River? Geez, I thought you'd be a little closer than that...but no biggie. You shouldn't be more than 20 minutes from my house, at any rate.

I'll PM you my street address now, if you need it. I'm right by American University. You should already have my cell phone number, but I'll give it again, just in case.

And BL, I got your message, so check your PMs. :D

Uh, Doc, in order for Sandwich to find you with Mapquest, your address has to be punched in, you can't leave it blank...

EDIT: Going off to the bus ticket office today to get my ticket exchanged. Wish me luck, gang. :)

IT'S A DONE DEAL!

I got my tickets exchanged (or the guy said I don't need to exchange them, I can just get on the bus tomorrow, w/e) so I WILL be getting to DC around 5:30pm tomorrow. :D

Sandwich, now is the time to start making plans. I need a way to get in touch with you, ideally by phone, as you have my cell phone number and I am going to have my cell phone with me all day.

I need a way to get in touch with you. PM me your phone number so we can make plans.

Also, if Tuesday night is the best chance to meet, let's make plans for something to do, mmmkay? :)

Didn't someone suggest going to see Die Another day (hint hint!) ;7

Dude, I thought you were joining us. :wtf:

Ok, ok, before anyone gets the idea that me, Sandwich and BL are into menage a trois homoeroticism, I want to state unequivocably that that is NOT the case. :ick ;) :D

But seriously, BL, have you talked with Sandwich about meeting with us or not? I'm just trying to make plans for what to do before I leave. I'm skipping class to leave early in order to see Sandwich. If you want to join us like you said, then help us make some plans. I don't want to come all the way down to see Sandwich and then miss out on meeting him.

Exchanging addresses is all well and good, but we need to be able to talk to each other on the phone to coordinate what we're doing in order to meet in person.

BL, what I need to know is this: are you meeting up with me and Sandwich like you said you wanted to or not? And if so, have you cleared it with Sandwich?

Meh, you guys and your rumor-mongering. :p

I'll check my PM box in a sec, but so far I have a friend coming up to hang out - we'll probably hit Apollo 13 in the IMAX in the Air and Space museum tommorow (today? tuesday...), but I don't know any details yet. I'll be hooking up with him noon-ish, so I'll probably call those who need calling around then. I don't have my own cellular here, so I don't have anything to give out, really.

Off to check PMs!

OK, just chatted with Sandwich on ICQ a few minutes ago. Here's where things stand so far:

Sandy is going to spend Tuesday day with his buddy to the IMAX. I'm gonna be getting into DC bus terminal around 5:30 or 6pm. Sandy has my cell phone number so he can get in touch with me. Blue Lion, you're all clear to join me and Sandwich tomorrow as well, so I'll PM you my cell phone number once im done posting here. Sandwich already has it.

Sandwich doesn't have a cell phone on him, but his friend does and I expect that Sandwich will use his friend's phone to touch base with me.

BL, if you've got a cell phone handy, I'll need you to PM the number to me so I can keep in touch with you as well.

I look forward to seeing you both tomorrow! :D :)

Ok, I'm back. Sorry for my absence, but posting from here in DC on my sister's comp and her 56k modem is not nearly as convenient as posting from school on my T1 line. I really gotta convince dad to get cable...

But me and Sandwich went to go see the new Bond flick with two of his friends. Sandwich, I gotta tell you, David and Scott are cool peeps.

No women were present, unfortuneately, but that's no biggie, I got a girl in White plains who I'm trying to put the moves on. :D
