You guys! I'll give you a techy explanation that will put this behind us.
Fruits are technically ovaries of the plants. When the sperm from male parts of flowers or male flowers fertilize the eggs in the ovary, the plant will divert a lot of energy to nurture the fruit. So tomatoes, peppers, bananas, etc. are all fruits. They all have flowers and male parts of flowers. The ovaries may have different shapes and seeds may be different. [There's an Asian species of gourd that grows its ovary (About one per plant.) up to 1.5 METERS tall and ONLY has an average of TWO SEEDS!] up tIt all depends on [Evolutionists watch out] how our Lord made them back in the beginning.
Vegetables are actually organs of the plant, other than the fruit. Vegetables may be leaves, stems, or roots. Spinach is a vegetable, peas are fruits.
Another thing, ALL PLANT PARTS HAVE SUGAR! If it didn't have sugar, it wouldn't be able to complete its metabolic processes. The principle sugar, glucose, is requires for all metabolic processes in the plant. There is a HIGHER CONCENTRATION of glucose in fruits because the once the ovary is ripe, its sugar contents will nurture the seed(s) inside. So when a - say - peach drops onto the ground, the ovary will disintegrate and form a nutritious layer around the seed. When the seed germinates, it will take in the decomposed sugar.
