That's much better than mine, but not quite top-of-the-line. Here is what I have at the moment:

Athlon TB 1400 (running at 1475) processor
512mb 266mhz (PC2100) ddr ram
2 IBM 75gb ata/100 7200rpm hard drives
Geforce3 standard (running at 250/575 mhz
52x cd drive
16/10/40 cd-rw drive
NEC FE2111 21" monitor
lots of fans :D (12 total, 5 six-inch 7500rpm "delta" type)

This setup is getting somewhat outdated now, but it still works reasonably well for my needs. At the end of the year I will just get whatever the latest stuff is that $3500 can buy. :D Still have not decided whether to get a desktop or a laptop though; I never really liked laptops much, as they are slower and pricier and I don't usually care for portability, but it seems that I may need one for college, and there appear to some on the market now that suit my needs well. Also, why the heck is 10 pounds considered "extremely heavy?" :wtf: It seems that the people who review these things have never hauled around 21" monitors... :D

what is 10 pounds worth in Kg? My screen: 43kg ( doesn't sound that much, but carrying that for more than a minute, w/o anything to have a good grip to, is a real torture... )

It better be almost twice as much as a pound, or y'all need to go out and get some serious exercise, or a construction job or something...

Well, that must be a pretty small monitor, too.

Dudes: Why do you need to TALK to your computers? Kicking it gets much better results, so long as you don't do it too hard.

Ahh, but it explains so much, no?
SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

That is about 94.8 pounds; my monitor's weight is also somewhere around that. (heck, it weighs almost as much as myself :D) And yeah, moving those things around is very tough. :p But 10 pounds is lighter than some books and certainly should not be a problem...
