Right, that ship is the Karran Vigilance class Light Cruiser. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE TO THE DESIGN. If anyone can texture her better, then you're welcome to it.

Tiara, the wings will stay on better than that. Also, a reactor will be buried deep inside the ship. More to the point, weaponry on wings will be small scale, and only about 10% of the whole armament top whack!

Tiara, yer being silly, lad. All that is just your opinion and nuthing more. Personally I think it's a wee bit rude to demand some kinda of change in somebody else's work and then say it's stupid the way it is.

I also don't see what's wrong with wings. Many many starships in classic science fiction possess wings for any number of good reasons.

Leave her as she be Strat, in my opinion.

Oh, and may I also suggest missile cruiser.

However on cap ships they dont look right, terran ships keep to the squarea and blocky school of thought, the only ship with anything like wings is the Hecate.
If you do have 'wings' as such try putting some engines on the end, give them a point. They arent missles.

In that case, I suppose you would like to have all of the sounds removed from the game and all the ship models replaced with either spheres or space shuttles. Actually, for that matter, in real life there are no Vasudans, Shivans, subspace or GTVA either, so drop all that stuff out. If you want to be even more realistic, one of the few realities that can be confirmed by the game designer is that people are playing computer games (since otherwise there would be no one to see how realistic the game is), so a truly realistic game would have you playing a game in which you play a game in which you play a game in which you play a game and so on. :D :D

1) The Vigilance is a different franchise anyway, so I don't/never adhere to the 'Rules of FS Ship DesignTM'

2) The wings mount sensor arrays and such. They also provide heat sinks for the reators (large surface area)

OK, I've decided to go with the missile frigate idea, so now I need some missle turrets for the ship's nose.  I already have mounts for smaller torpedos along the ventral and dorsal lines, but I want something extra-heavy for the front.  The standard button turret isn't doing it for me here.

Sweet! But you'll have problems when it somes to actually firing them. They'll still be there on the ship, will they not?
