i'm currently trying to formulate a responce on the disabled thing. but i find it hard to find words, i don;twant to be insulting, but i do want to let them see how bad this is. too bad i don'tknow ernough about the bible for this stuff, i thought there was something like "love your neighbour, and treat him like a brother", or was that another religion?

Frankly I find creationism an exceptionally unlikely possibility, almost all available evidence points to evolution as the propagator of our species; you know this, I know this, so where's the problem? Frankly in this society, with it's current stance of 'I'm right so you have to be wrong' I find it hard to give a **** about what everyone else is 'advertising'. If I was brought up by athiests then I most likely would be an athiest. If I was brought up to believe there's 13 virgins with my name on them in return for being the trigger of a remarkably exergonic reaction then I'd be running into a public place right now with not a worry in the world and hitting the button.  
I believe in what I believe because it ultimately leads to a conclusion that I want; I'm sure it's a kind of selfishness on some level but I'd just like everyone to be happy, live and let live. Everybody wins.

My point is this: You're free to completely ignore everything I've just tried to explain simply because I said it. Make up your own mind and realise that someone else may have a different conclusion, it doesn't make anyone more correct. Hopefully I'm stating the obvious.

Well, I like to to at least try to be tolerant of religions and there are people quite close to me whom are religious and I have no problem with. I think your point deals largely with the opinion/values/viewpoints of individuals, which are largely harmless and they can believe whatever they want.

My problem is that some amount of people (like the peeps who wrote the article I posted, or on the forum) forcibly put their beliefs on others or aim to deceive groups who can't really combat dogma and false reasoning. Additionally those who can't live up to their valued "humanity" annoy me.

Yeah, I agree with you. This has to be one of the if not the worst thing I've seen in a long time. It saddens me. But thank goodness I live in Finland... Far away from those types of people. Though I do know a friend who's dad has turned into a evangelist, he's still pritty cool. He's peaceful and is respectful to people, be it homosexual, black, or Buddhist. He has his own beliefs but doesen't shout out and tell people they will burn in hell...

Do you honestly believe hurting the disabled is helping you to be a better person? I am no believer myself, in fact I am atheist, but I saw this forum and was stunned, how people who call themselves true believers can talk about such intolerance.

even if these people are as bad as you depict them, then why hurt them? is it your task to judge? from what I know from Christian believe, it's not the believers task to judge, but it's the task of God or Christ. explain to me why you should hurt these people in any way, even if they are as evil as you depict them. these people aren't hurting anyone, at least I haven't seen proof of the contrary.

I think I'm starting to see the bigger picture. These admins, might actually be using these True Christians in order to get money out of them. And basically are toying with them. Even with really shocking posts, probably trying to see if these true christians would agree. The people in it could be real, but the admins might have created it as a ploy to suck money out of them... Which might be a good thing...

You're right, Jesus was TOTALLY wrong on this one. The next verse he also says:

"Ye are the light of the world."

Do you know what light does? Light is electromagnetic radiation. In other words: at a different wavelength it could be gamma radiation! Do you even know what gamma rays can DO??? They can help form genetic mutations and even KILL people if there is enough of it. Not to mention that too much visible light can blind people and has caused multiple driving accidents.

I'm just saying that you're over-analyzing an obvious metaphor. Jesus is not saying that christains share a DIRECT corelation with salt. To even suggest that he is saying that is absurd.

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. " (Matthew 5:13)

Jesus often spoke while giving examples. trying to relate what he was saying to everyday life. I truthfully don't see what the problem is.
