I really like the space-time bubble idea because it explains a lot of things:
-What is subspace - the 6 folded up dimensions
-What's the warp

However than the Nyarlhotep isn't properly explained.
The part where pirates were jumping in is explained though. It was the moment when their bubble converged with the bubble of the Nyarlhotep.
It could be that the Shivan destroyer had an automatic subspace device which was active even in its dormant state.

Using corkscrew, can you control the number of missiles launched I remember I tried this not to long ago, it fired 8 bombs(I was in double fire) which swirled around a central point.  It's too unbelieveable using the default 4 per volley.  If it can't be controled it should be altered.
