Well, if it had zombies, I'd have chucked it out :)  I fecking hated RtCW for that...........actually, the Dam mission in particular reminded me of Goldeneye more than anything else.  (which is good)

Hmm. I was also thinking about making some missions for this game. I've been reading Ambrose's (The guy who wrote Band of Brothers) books, D-Day, BoB, and Citizen Soldier and theres a variable treasure trove of REAL life mission Scenarios. Though I was extremely happy they used Pegasus Day in the game. That was cool. But all sorts of stuff from BoB that can be done as well! Attack on Foy, Carentan, the episode with Colin Hanks where they went across the river... Oh well.

I'd like to see a D-day landing mission... cos I never played the Omaha beach one in MoH.  That, plus maybe some Desert Rat missions in Africa....

Hmmm... Omaha Beach could quite easily be done with this. But It'll essentially be the same. But cooler. And with the added delights of shell shock, it'll be more like SPR then ever before. But it would require QUITE a bit of scripting, like the stalingrad level. But what would make this game even better, is GIBS!!! Arms, legs and pieces of ass flying all over the place, with guts spewing out and people crying "Muh-muh-Muhmaaaa!! *gurgle*" as they try to collect their intestines and drag their legless torso's to the closest medic only to get a bullet thru their helmet at the last moment...

uuhm... :nervous:

Anyway, Gibs only when there would be grenades and mortar explosions though. not with bullets and stuff. Thats stupid. I'm happy with the red puffs of blood in the game, they're really cool. But just to have that guy infront of you blow up when a mortar hits and fall in a bloody mess just adds that bit of "HOLY SH*T!" And make you hide. I'm not saying its realistic, just more, hollywoody...

I think Gibs would look worse, actually.  I think explosions tend to just blow bits in people, rather than blow them apart, so it looks off.  A bit more blood - i.e. patches on clothes or realistic spatter - could be effective, but it's hardly necessary.

Think you could do Omaha with more people on the beach, basically - the CoD engine (I think) is better equipped for high peep numbers than the MoH one, I think because the renderer takes advantage of more modern T & L features.

I agree. And yeah, I didn't really mean blowing people apart into tiny bits, though that occasionally happened when the shell landed on the the guy, but I mean just when they're at close proximity to a blast, they do often get a limb or two blown off. And shrapnell wounds are a horror to behold. But, I agree on blood splotshes on clothes, or even blood stains on the floor and walls and when the body has fallen, oozing out.

When did they say they're releasing the editor?
