It's dead, Red Faction is dead.

Tons of plot stuff was done for FS:FPS, plus perliminary models for characters and weapons, but we never got past that stage because the RF community was drying up real fast with UT2k3 coming out.

FS:FPS might be dead but RF lives on. And if people would be as charismatic for FS:FPS as the people for the Iron Sun mod are, we could definately get it kicked back off and this time finish it.

I, once a year ago or something, asked about the progress of the mod and it seems the models of the different races weren't functioning for in-game play up to that point.

Heh, that's more or less a pasttime, or is most of the time kept on a server specific to the activity. I haven't seen many in recent games, at least.

Ummm FreeSpace: FPS never really got off the ground.  Plasma and Ace and co did some really neat concepts...some sketches, Bobboau even did some models, and lots of ideas were passed around back and forth.

Thats about it.

It was dead a couple of years ago...

Its funny, FS: FPS died a long time ago and the website was never updated ever again.  BWO is still alive, website stays updated, and yet people ask me all the time if the project is dead or alive.  Doesn't make sense :D
