i see no better a place to ask, so it may as well be here, i am supposing.
i installed a new motherboard, cpu and a couple of hard drives recently, the old one hatefully discarded and cast out into the world through the veils of pain and fire.
ive just been getting back on my feet data wise and felt it was time for some fs2. it runs as well as it ever has at 1024x768x32, but simply, just.. stutters, and skips occasionally in combat. not constantly, but enough to really disrupt play and infuriate me to such a degree that i travelled to cairo and there beheaded one thousand men.
i am not sure what course to persue. it is not a framerate issue, i believe, and i'm not sure which aspect of combat instigates this skipping, but thusfar i believe it's just random. there neednt be anything on the screen at all, just that people be attempting to murder one another in my vicinity.
so, i guess this should culminate in a point or some such..
yes, well. is this heard of? has this ever been encountered before? what can be done, drivers, perhaps? the only hardware of mine i could think to lay this at the feet of is the asus a7n8x-d motherboard i had installed a few weeks ago. i once heard a rumor of intermittent game stuttering laid at this ones feet. once. from one guy. so i'm probably wasting my time considering it.
in closing, i have nothing further to add.
