Best. Game. Soundtrack. Ever.
Well if they'd have released a sound track, I'd have bought that, Venom. As it was, the game wasn't worth the $3 I paid for it.

Besides, when did I ever claim to be "proud" of it?

Hmm... Best Game Soundtrack?

Michael Giacchino's Medal of Honor albums are great orchestral music.

Also just fresh Beyond Good & Evil has one awesome battle theme.

And last but not least... Christopher Franke's score for cancelled B5: Into the Fire. (damn those extended 5 x 11 min. versions of Battle Sequences rule seriously)

There wasn't as soundtrack when the game initially came out Venom. I couldn't find it anywhere in Japan, the US or in Hong Kong. And no, I'm not buying it from France. You're the only likeable person in that god forsaken country.

Obligatory Justification: I'm rather glad I only paid $3. The game wasn't worth a tenth of that, aside from the music.

Hell yes. *listening to Chrono Cross - Fragments of Dreams*

Though I wouldn't say its the best. I have quite a few other favorite soundtracks from RPGs. (Especially SNES ones)

The Aria di Mezzo Caraterre from FF6. Best single piece of game music ever. Especially when arranged for full orchestra and voices. Man, that one chokes up me up hard whenever I hear it. It was powerful on my SNES's little FM synth and its only more so when you hear it actually sung.

I love that game, it's beautiful and odd. Just the way I like 'em.

On a side note, I'm enjoying KOTOR more than any game I've played (bar Panzer Dragoon Orta and Halo) in the past two years.

Bioware deserve every game award going this year.

You mean they're french AND eat children? Double jeopardy.

I thought the first problem with french people was their attitude. Of course the same could be said about us Americans (and I'll be the first to say it).

SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

I may be a bit biased, but I'd say the best game music track I've ever heard is the soundtrack of the intro sequence of Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom. All of George Oldzieys tracks rule, those he did for Ultima too, but "Space ambush and combat" is the best. It sounds so...."cinematic". I actually spend quite some time to track down that music on the internet until I found it. Was hard to find.

You know what? It might not be the best ( I'd be hard pressed to say what is my favourite music ever anyway ), but you're f'cking right. Now that I remember it, I have chills running along my back.
If someone can manage to find the full WC4 OST for me ( not some crappy remix like you can find on the net ), I'll build him any ship ( her, one ship, I prefer to make it clear :p ) he wants for FS2.
