I never played Chrono Cross, but CT was absolute genius.  It begs the question, if you can have two of the best selling rpg series of all time, why don't you.

Square has been making some strange decisions lately.

ChronoTrigger is the best 16bit RPG ever. ChronoCross is the best PS1 RPG ever. ChronoBreak could have been the best RPG of its generation.

Actually there is a few things that need to be cleared up. While "Chrono Break" was unregistered here in the US, the trademarked name is still as of a week ago, trademarked in Japan. Which means Square Enix may be doing one of three things:

1.slowly ending the trademarked name
2. slowly CHANGING the trademarked name
3. changing the name and trying to raise re-awareness about the game as a PR stunt to get us excited again.

It seems that not all hope is lost (can't really decide in either direction), but there will not be a Chrono Break any time soon.

That's not what I heard.  I heard it didn't even live up to the original (not that any game really could).

CT changed my life...

Although I didnt hear anything meaningful about CC, i guess it was the name that sold it.  And since I havent heard any hype at all about CB, im not bummed.


And getting CT on GBA would be a great move on Square/Enix's part.  Of course this will not happen, as our beloved RPG dealer has gone insane.

Indeed, CT was brilliant. I never got stuck in any places levelling up my character to ridiculous levels in order to get past the next boss, but I found every age a challenge - and the brilliant way they handled time travel and changing the future, I feel, has never been equalled. Gah, I think I'll go replay the game on SNES9x.

When I played CT on sne9x, the game just jammed at a certain point.... you were suppossed to press a button, but it wouldn't accept the input.

I don't recall that error (got six or seven of the seventeen endings all on the emulator), but unfortunately, snes9x isn't flawless. I still love using it to play the old beat-'em-ups like Final Fight, though.

meh. dott had some funnay time travel too. I also got a lot of the endings.
