I've always thought of the Apothess as a really huge mobile gun rather than a destroyer which is why its unusual shape suits it so much. Compared to the original maps these new ones rock substantially.

No it wasn't, most of our Vasudan fleet wasn't in R1, plus most of the EA fleet wasn't either.

Woomeister, what about we poor guys without DDS support?
Will the textures work?

The only cards that don't have DDS support probably won't be able to run the campaign in HTL anyway, that's why they where changed to DDS. Some textures are 2048^2 now anyway, so a reasonably decent card would be needed to view them.

Without HTL I get about 6-12 fps in M14, with HTL I get between 30-80. Running without HTL probably won't be possible.

Ahem... with the latest RT speech build my old TNT2 reaches 80fps with an average around 40 even in intensive missions...
HTL works even with non HTL cards.

Yeah, but our maps are huge and require a decent card, shrinking them to 1024 or lower will create some very ugly ships.

It would be possible, but if we do this it won't come as standard (would be downloaded seperately then you'd have to delete the dds files)
They would be converted to 1024^2 256 colour pcx files.

A Radeon 7000 series or its equvilent should be fine we think.

You don't need a Radeon 9800 to run it

It has more turrets than the Tereus, less beams, but more anti-fighter weapons.
