Thats why [V] invented `k  :ha:

Are you saying that the Warlock lost its cool beams in the front? Then what the hell is it good for?! Who gives a **** if it can carry 20000 bomber and fighter wings... they never appear unless you put them there to appear. Give it back its offensive capability and scrap another useless destroyer. Nothing SOC, but not the Boreas... maybe the Odin or the Icelus just for originality's sake.

But hey.. your campaign not mine

I will confess, for a super-destroyer, you dont see the Odin much in the campaign, which is a shame, becuase it sounds like it could take on most Shivan ships and win.

Probably kept absent for just that reason - it'd be no fun if it were too easy. ;)

The Warlock won't go into direct confrontation with enemy fleets, if it found itself in one, its destroyer escorts would protect it while it moves to a safer distance. You won't see a Warlock take on mutiple enemy targets like in M2, it's too valuable to put into that kind of risk.

The Odin was going to be the next player home ship, that's why it wasn't seen in R1.

I recently upgraded it so it now has 56 turrets instead of 30.

The Odin will certainly feature in the second coming of chapter 1.

At least give the Warlock some sort of frontal defence... maybe not as powerful but it would be stupid for the GTVA to build a monster like that which cant even defend itself if the situation called for it.

I guess your going to redo m14 then huh... what a shame :(

The Warlock's provisional armament:

16 long range flak cannons
1 forward beam cannon
6 class A plasma cannons
8 disruptor beam cannons
4 heavy torpedo banks
2 AAA beam cannons
4 photon cannons

...which makes it nearly impervious to fighter and bomber attacks at long and medium ranges. Anything the flak can't hit is zapped by the disruptor beams to shut down its engines for a few seconds... and then the flak catches up. :)

M14 will probably be redone, yeah.

I suppose the Solaris could take on the Nemsis if needed...

Weapon suggestion: In case Shivans still uses flak, they aren't really supposed to use the same weapon as GTVA, so it would be nice to have some "energy flak" effect...

Shivans didn't use flak in R1, probably won't this time too.

Good. I'm tinkering with my own comcept of advanced terran, vasudan and shivan weaponry and i found flak just silly on shivans...

Maybe the shivans could have a beam cannon that instead of firing in bursts fires as a continus stream like other beam cannons, and can follow its target through space.

It can't happen I'm afraid, as there's no provision for a tracking beam in the SCP right now.

how about a rapid fire, chain gun-type beam turret that does slight damage per hit but is fairly accurate.

An EMP flak would also be useful to disable incoming warheads.
