Lucky for you then it's meshed now, at 56k polys, so I can have another stab at it in Truespace. Rhino is no renderer, I'm afriad.

Wow. Yeah, no prob, I don't expect it to be. You really are doing an amazing job here - as I've pointed out before, I'm really no modeler. This is about the extent of my modeling (and texturing!) skills.



In other words, I think that A-10 is freaking awesome.

lol btw, do you use photoshop? To get those 4 point stars did you manually smudge them in or do you have a filter to do it?
(iv been looking for one somewhere and am pretty certain iv seen it b4...)

oh and Nico, its harder to see a green bomber from a fighter jet flying high above than a fluro pink 1... and green is the bottom light on traffic lights isnt it?... at least i think it is... hehe

Not if your in the desert.

Then again, the A10 isn't furtive so fighters can pick it up easily, and for the ground foces, green agisnt the sky, that sux
noisy as hell, too.

That pic was back from the old days, when I used Ulead PhotoImpact. PI has a filter for it... there's a demo for the program here.

The desert would have a dif colour probably. But Green would suit the mountains, crops, and rocky terrain. Because theres always a tree about in those places somewhere, and greens the most common colour to be overlooked...

I see trees flying about all the time, breaking the speed of sound etc. So I probably wouldnt notice...

No prob. I do suggest giving PI a go though if you can stand to download the demo, it runs a lot faster than PS in my experience, while still being quite powerful.

Setekh: Hmm not sure, I wouldnt mind the d/l, but I'm a born and bred Photoshop go'er, so I'm biased towards the software I use . Hmm... maybe I'll ask Lightspeed or find some1 who can write the plugin for me... Or even get around to learning C++ myself and make it... hehe.

The only drawback being I hate maths... I can do it but I despise it...

i saw an a-10 at an airshow in phoenix. it was grey or pale blue in color and the gun was painted chrome (probibly something the pilot did, most of the pics i see are black). the gun is on the left with the firing barrel (on the right side of the gun) in the center of the plane.

also i npoticed that your gun has 6 berrels, where the real one has 7. other than that its a pretty good model.

Thanks for the information. I'd noticed the gun barrel thing myself and its been changed on the most recent mesh, not shown here.
