Calm down, guys.

That's all. These "HOLY **** FS RIGHTS OMG" threads seem to pop up every now and then, and then nothing happens. Speculating on it will only bring death and destruction.
lol wtf

As long as we are certain of our rights regarding the source code no matter where the rights of the FS series goes, I don't really care all that much what happens to them.

If theres one thing we have in common with the Wing Commander community, it's the ability to make pies in the sky about a game that would have dissapointed us no matter what. Like the Matrix, the ending would never ever have met with our expectations.

I knew this would happen, considering their crappy support, shoddy tech support, and all around support for games its no surprise they are dying a slow painful death.

Good riddance. Muahahahahah

As for FS, ive lived without it a long time, its sad. However the developers worked for Interplay and no doubt will want to go elsewhere given the problems. If they do maybe they will get into a company that will support their ideas instead of trying to build them into cash cows.

This is a good thing for the industry if they die.
