1) make sure you have the latest modview (beta 05 build 28 - for those who don't have it already:

2) and then paste the exe in this:
http://www.sectorfiles.com/ti-file-dump/VasudanAdmiral/modviw32.zipversion over the one in the DMTOOLS\MODVIW32 folder
it's exactly the same as the regular 05, except it has most of the limits i could find bumped really high.

DaBrain: it certainly works - that first pic from Raa is in modview, and i am looking at it now with no slowdown....errm, try uninstalling modview completely, then installing the beta 05 from above, and THEN pasting the new exe over it? If you've done that, then i don't know what could be wrong.
Goober, it should be running with 98, as IIRC that's the OS i was using when i first bumped the limits. the crash on startup sounds like what happened to me when i first tried pasting the upped limits exe over the modview 04 install. try the same thing i suggested for DaBrain.

in regards to the model, big improvement over the original for sure

however, it looks as tho someone should reapply some of the maps as they get even more distorted than they were in the original. (ie, little zigzags of lines etc).
and the scaly turrets look out of place on the smoothed mesh now.
