That's absolutely not true. It has weapon energy, just not much.
See it from the nice side: It can fire more rapidly than any fighters with 4 primaries except for the Thoth.

I also liked the Athena. Its only setback that it becomes obsolete when the Tsunami appears. And it becomes even more obsolete when the Medusa is developed.

The Artemis has fine energy for its job (strafing runs on a capship, not dogfighting) and It is the only bomber I can fly with ease because others are so slow.
