Most of it worked for me, except it wouldn't open file 2. I double-checked that file2.txt was in C:\test as per the directions.

umm

what error are you getting?  a 404?  or is it just not opening at all.  it might be that you have some kind of "popup blocker" or something, because it's supposed to pop up a new window with c:\test\file2.txt.   check that and let me know

i'm not sure here, does this need the flash player installed to work?

cos if it does and that proves impractical theres a tutorial at virtualplastic about active desktops that might be helpful.
to be honest i aint read it (i been to the site abut 50 times and only just noticed it for the first time recently) so it might be no use at all


ok i just scanned through and you do still need another app to run programs without a dialog so i guess it's no easier than the flash method
