Today i play Freespace 2 again, to test the translated Missions of "Revenge - Final Conflict"

I click "Start Campaign" and have the problem, that Freespace 2 crash to desktop because of "Not enough Memory". I don't know were is the problem, i have 512 DDR RAM and have 1536 MB Virtual RAM. I use the Freespace 2 Open Build T-20040822 and activated all Features to play Freespace 2 in beautiful Graphics.

But after a restart i can start the Campaign and the Mission was without any errors, work perfectly without any slow downs or so. After i end this Mission i have the same Problem with "Not enough Memory" when i want to continue. If i restart this Mission this work perfect. This problems, i have also in every other campaign, like CoW, Derelict or Homesick. So this wasn't a error within Revenge.  After i startet FS2O the Memory Usage is on 230 MB from this exe. When i continue a campaign and go to Command Briefing the Memory Usage is 290 MB and within the Game with the Graphics the Memory Usage was on 450 MB. But i have 2048 MB RAM (Physicial and Virtual) But how i can have a Message with "Not enough Memory" if i have over 1500 MB free?  I try to make the Virtual RAM smaller, but that's have no effect. I can only play more than 1 Mission if i disable the FS2O Features.

Where's my Problem?

Sounds like simple Windows deterioration.  I usually get that message A LOT before I'm forced to reformat.  Bu the way, I'd reformat at least once every six months.  Keeps stuff working.
For great justice.

Do the obvious stuff, defrag, defrag memory before playing.
