Good lord! Strat, your Vasudan designs are outstanding. All of them are worthy of the highest praise.

Will you be changing the textures on the interior of the main cannon? I have something with animated glowmaps you might be able to use.

I think this ship looks like a Vasudan dreadnaught, with one huge primary beam cannon. We don't have too many of those.

The leading edges of the front fins still seem too bland... perhaps extend the darker crescents of the top fins to cover 2/3 of the underneath of those fins instead of the current 1/4.
For the bottom fins, maybe extend the two recessed areas on the bottom towards the middle and connect them.

Can we have a rear view?

GE, I'd love to know a little more about what you had in mind for the front cannon.  It's still something I'm somewhat uncertain about.  As for the issues with the front fins, well, I'm still poking with those too.  It's been a rough week class-wise, thus the lack of updates, and it doesn't show any signs of slacking off, but I'll get some time to fiddle sooner or later.

Bump.  Got a few free minutes, so I changed the lower cutouts.  May be too big now, but I'll put it up for debate.

And as a bonus, a rear profile.  The full rear shot is the least interesting shot I could give you.

Put a slit down the leading edge of each blade.  Perhaps have an animated glowmap within the slit so that they all pulse from the outer tip of each slit, towards the center.  Other possiblilty would be to glow-point said pattern, to reduce the ram-load of an ani.

I'm tentatively starting to like this one, even with the standard texs, though I think you're using the grey ovals texture a bit... well, not ideally in a few places IMO. Notably on the leading edge of the lower rear protrusion and the little spot of it in the bottom middle of the head fins, (both best visible in this pic http://www.duke.edu/~cek6/xdetail6.jpg). My advice would be to continue using the pharoh texture on the leading edge and extrude (inwards) the polies in the centre of the forward fins. The new edges could then be run around with the grey as trim, which is what I think it was mainly meant to be used as anyway.

That's actually a good idea.  I'll look at changing that.
