yup, Kaz has it right. I also believe the same for politics (replace CNN/Fox with Dems and Republicans).

Though I think that its not really so much right-wing/left-wing when it comes to media, but rather monitor power/obey power. The role of the media is not to play along and tote the party line, and, and thats whats happeneing across the board, so if we choose to call that right-wing, for the sake of convenience, then absolutely.

rictor your assesment is mostly true - however in the case of Fox News they are indeed right wing - Rupert Murdoch (owner Fox News, Clear Channel, etc) has said, publically, on record, on numerous occasions he intended to pull the public perception of center tword the right.   He has succeeded.   Lenin and Stalin would have killed to have a propaganda network as effective as the one RM built.  

The strength in his propaganda network is the sheep who are fooled don't even realize they're being propagandaized

Oh I am sure that CBS pushed that to the front for sole reason that the public needed to know. RIGHT!!! I highly doubt their personal feeling didn't influence their desicions. I bet those those that called DNC and told them about this said memo were not letting their bias get the best of them. CBS have little bias. SURE!!!

I am sure their is a general enviroment of bias at CBS. Those that told them it wasn't authenticate were ignored. Just like ENRON, those that warned of the impending catastrophy were ignored. I see the same at CBS.

Also this is not the only mistake CBS has ever made either.

Sure CBS is biased. I don't doubt it but it's a really crap excuse to try to defend the most biased new station in America by claiming that the opposition is also biased.

Try turning off both of them and watch the BBC World News on PBS for a change. I'd like to see you try making the same excuses there.

only reason I watch cable news is that more convenient. I don't get BBC. I would probably watch that instead if I did. I am also too busy and am not near a tv when pbs new is on. Secondly I don't really think FOX News is any less biased that CBS ABC etc. I think a vast majority of cable news is biased and full of ****. Like bush and kerry, their both full of ****.

FOX News is _more_ biased than CBS ABC, etc -- CBS, ABC are moderate liberal, CNN is almost true neutral, PBS/BBC is true netural, Fox News are right wing whackos

the entire purpose of the existance of Fox News is the shift the public perception of "center" to the right - SO STATED BY THE MAN WHO OWNS SAID NETWORK
