Yanno, the bickering going on here kinda reminds me of the death throes(sp?) of the VBB.

I mean, the guy asks for help, and you rip him apart. Even if his idea may not be the best in the world (no offence), it doesn't mean you have to prepare a stake to burn him at. Jeez.

With atitudes like these no wonder the VBB went down...no ofence guys....the whole thing was quite balanced and I dont care what you guys say....the weapons were more powerfull the ships were better armoured...I just wanted to difereciate the a bit and make things a lot more dificult for the player..to figure out wat he had to do in order to take these ships out..!
But why do I even bother....I'l be damned and I hope to burn in hell if I will EVER RELEASE a model or mission if I make one!
You can rest asure that this will atitude of mine wont change eny time soon regarding models or missions....!

Balancing does not mean that a ship has equally strong weapons and armor, but rather that all ships of one class are equally strong. So your attempt, while being bold, was futile in terms of game balance. And what's the use in creating a state-of-the-art super destroyer, when you have to do heavy fredding to make it usable in game?

Well balanced ship has a weak point. Not almost very obvious, but it has one. These can be anything from suitable hiding hole or a gap in fire arcs to low capability to withstand beam fire, slow speed or anything. Overall, the weaponry must not be overpowerful, because it gets ridiculous if a destroyer has like 4 LRBGreens plus variety of AA beams.

I strongly disagree.  I absolutely HATE the 'all military ships have a glaring flaw obvious to all yet never corrected' school of game design.  Design your ship, develop effcient fire arcs and weapon placement, examine existing ships to fudge a speed/armour mix, and leave it at that.  The guys who designed the Orion were either morons or there are limitations we as players don't know about; there is no sense in deliberately making a ship crap.  Look at the Aten.

Bumping up armour AND weapons, however, is ****ing stupid.  Numbers are only relative; if all ships are relplaced, noone will know how they compare to the original ones.  Inflating capship armour and capship bombs is so futile it beggars the imagination... unless the goal is to create ships 'better' than the ships in other mods.

This place isn't gonna come tumbling down like the VBB, we're all teasing this guy because this sort of thing has ben done so many times before, it's literally a cliche. He is (no offense AlphaOne) the cliche Freespace newbie. That's why we're teasing him like this.
And if you look waaaay back on the days of the VBB, I bet you'll find hundreds of posts just like this one.

You seem to have a warped sense of "balanced". Balanced means that it's possible for the ship to be beaten by another ship. Your "destroyer" is not balanced because it has the power of an entire GTVA fleet packed into one tiny little package. Hence, unbalanced. If you actualyl built this thing and put it into a standard Freespace mission, I'll bet you my bottom dollar that it could take out two juggernauts before it got taken down. And this is for a destroyer.
Not to mention that you need to take critisism, and if you're wrong in your ways, you should change. Don't just sit there and shout "Waaah! Stop it guys! Stop picking on me!"
Get a spellchecker (and grammer, for that matter) and create a cohesive, intelligable argument, and don't rely on others to come to your aid and tell us to stop picking on you.
