OK, here's the problem - I tried to do some fredding on a project, and Fred_Open wouldn't work. I run the exe (version 3.6.5), and nothing happens. It doesn't show up in task manager, in applications or in processes. I had the project vp in the \Freespace2\ directory. I then tried it with other project vps, and the same thing happened. With no project vps in there, it works fine.

There are some media vps in there as well, and it works with them. FS_Open itself works with no problems.

What could be causing this, and how would I fix it?

Do you get any messages with a debug build?

Other than that you're probably best off using an older version that works.

Nope. Exactly the same happens. And the same for Fred Open 3.5.5, which worked fine a few days ago...

Most odd.

EDIT: Ah, found the problem. I took the media vps out, and it works fine. How strange...
