The thing is, the statement 'Theres someone for everyone' is not true. There are thousands of people for everyone. There are, without doubt, 20 girls within 50 miles who would happily be in a relationship with you if :-
1) They knew you.
2) You lost some of that self-loathing.
The first thing you have to do is shake that conviction that you aren't 'worth' a girlfriend. that you are too geeky or different. I mean, you're in the middle of a Forum for a 5 year-old game worrying about being a geek. Yet many of us are in relationships etc, because we know that in our own little ways we are geeks, everyone is.
Women will detect an emotional martyr a mile off and avoid them, before you can find someone to believe in, you must learn to believe in yourself.
