My Favorite Browser was in Super Mario 64. he was so much bigger and more menacing than in the older mario games, though the Browser in Super Mario Bros. 3 was pretty big looking too. in Super Mario Bros. 1 and Super Mario World, you don't really even fight him face to face. You just make the bridge drop, or throw mecha-koopas at him. In SMB 3 and Mario 64 you actually fight him yourself.

Okay, I carried that one on long enough.

FireFox, because IE crashes all the time, lets adware through like a sieve, and doesn't have tabs.

Oddly enough, I didn't like tabs when I first started using FF, but they've grown on me.  They're especailly useful for browsing forums. :)

And shouldn't this be a poll?

Firefox, cause its customizable. The only extension that's not available is one that wipes your ass for you, and I hear they're already working on it.

Firefix is good, but I have to keep IE around for the crappy cites that only work on IE.

Firefox. All reasons have been mentioned before. ;)

BTW, perhaps it's an idea to establish a "Get IE" avatar instead of the Firefox thingy, given the percentage of Firefox users... :p :D

IE....

....nah just kidding... it's Firefox really :D

Safari looks cooler than FF, but loses out on the tabbing side, and IE just isn't good:

In fact I just fired it up, and it refused to quit, so I had to use the 'Force Quit' option to get rid of it :ick:

In fact, now I come to think of it all the MS software I have seems to have become less stable recently (Excel, Word, Entourage) I feel there is a conspiracy afoot to force me into buying Office 2004. :mad2:

..so yeah FIREFOX!

What's wrong with minimized windows?

I'm sure if you really wanted a poll on this you would add one.  You added snufflepaugus (sp?) to my GTA Vs. PVN poll.

The reason I didn't add a poll was because I didn't know what browsers people would come up with.

err, opera. and because I like the mouse gestures and the ones you can get for firefox isn't as good and it also seems like opera is faster somehow.

Firefox here. I tried Opera, and it was very good, but the adverts in the free version annoyed me. Firefox is excellent. It doesn't crash, it doesn't have all the vulnerabilities that IE has, and the tabs and customisable toolbars are very useful.

Minimized windows are a pin in the arse, because if you have about 8 sites open, you can't see what they all are, and they take up your whole taskbar. With FF, you can have lots of sites open, and only have one taskbar tab. Also, you can minimize everything at once if you want, rather than having to do each window on it's own. Firefox is the way to go. I don't even have IE installed on my machine any more.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Minimized windows involves 4 clicks - right click, select Open In New Window, minimize the new window, click on the original window.  Whereas to open something in a new tab you only need 1 click.  It makes forum browsing much faster when you're opening a bunch of threads.

For one thing, you can't add a poll to a thread if it was posted without one.  For another, I wasn't saying the thread should have a poll, I was just asking why you didn't make one.
