I thought frenchmen's ideals stood for libery, quality and freedom?
I wouldn't put Chirac on the winning side of a debate about that.
Egality, not quality

(quality sounds fascist too ~~ )
I'm not a socialist. Socialism brought us unemployement, debts and ****, and now they want to blame it on Chirac. I don't like Chirac much, mind you, but better off with him than the socialists like Jospin or Fabius. We've had some improvements with him, basically coz he took up Rafarin as a prime minister, and that poor guy is being used to do all the nasty job, so Chirac is about alright. But his popularity is still dropping, obviously. Rule 1 is that pleasing the people -> opposite of efficient running of a country. And French have way too many social aids and ****, they think everything is for granted, they go on strikes whenever there's no paper in the toilets, etc. Bah, I'm pretty sure our next president's gonna be Sarkozy, and he's gonna do some cleaning up, I hope.
So yeah, I prefer Chirac to that fake leftist that is Blair, who try mild right wing politics while being shy about it and, well, that just makes no sense. And you can't deny the fact that in the end, Chirac was bloody right to say "Us going to Irak? No way, go on your own!"
