I was under the impression downloading FS2 was legal because of the EULA which states distributing the game to friends is okay.

I never got around to sticking a link to my movies page in my FAQ but this page should give you all the info you need.

The reason it doesn't always work is because the FTP is always busy because its the main place to get hold of Vp files needed to upgrade the HotU version to the full version.

As I say in the FAQ the FTP should be your last resort for movies because you can get them elsewhere. That leaves the bandwidth free for people to get hold of other more important things
